Cleaning Agents to Avoid

Many chemicals on the market are corrosive and can permanently damaged its physical properties. Never clean your quartz surface with products that contain Trichlorethane or Methylene chloride, such as paint removers or strippers. Avoid the use of highly aggressive cleaning agents such as oven/grill cleaners and dishwasher polishing agents that have high alkaline/pH levels (pH 8.5 or higher). Be sure to take the precautions listed below when caring for your quartz surfaces.

Do not expose your quartz surfaces to oven cleaners, bleach, abrasive cleaners, battery acid, paint removers, furniture strippers, metal cleaners or similar products.

Heat Tolerance

Quartz is heat resistant, but not heat proof. Generally speaking, heat is not a problem. However, like all stone material, quartz can be damaged by sudden and rapid change in temperature cold to hot. Therefore, we recommend a hot pad or trivet be placed on the surface under cooking units such as electric frying pans, crock pots, or roaster ovens. By exercising common sense protections, the beauty of your quartz will last throughout the years.

Scratch Resistant

Quartz is a highly scratch resistant surface, and its not easily can be scratched. However, avoid abusing the surface with sharp objects such as rock, screw drivers, etc.

Stain Resistant

Don't worry about spills from coffee, wine, lemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, makeup, and many other common household products.Permanent markers and inks may adhere to the surface and should be avoided.
